According to the SF Examiner, the total cost of putting on the parade was $225,000. However, the hoopla that went on around the parade was the most significant cost of the day. The confetti and
actual presentation cost around $1 million, but was offset for taxpayers by the economic benefits of having the World Series played in their home city.
