Roman on 49ers' Super Bowl Play Calling: 'That's Life'


'Should, coulda, woulda' is how 49ers offensive coordinator Greg Roman sums up the play calling in the final drive of Super Bowl XLVII. Roman has received some flack for the lack of creativity in the final four plays of the 49ers' season, but has not let it discourage him.

Were the 49ers Saving Kaepernick’s ‘Pistol’ Formation For the Playoffs?



If the 49ers weren’t awkward and untrusting of any form of media, it wouldn’t be a normal media session with the team. However, Saturday’s romping defeat of the Packers, and a birth in the NFC Championship game for the second year in a row, only provided the team the opportunity to shed light on their obvious change in gameplan for the playoffs.

Harbaugh, 49ers Will Have Hard Time Keeping Assistant Coaches



There is a different side to Black Monday in the NFL, the ceremonial day of coaching staff firings that occur one day after the final week of the season. There are currently seven openings for a head coach around the NFL, and there are successful teams with successful coordinators that are coveted to fill them.
