Report: Dodgers Not Interested In Brian Wilson
Brian Wilson's presumed plan to gain leverage on the San Francisco Giants during free agency may have hit a speed bump on Sunday.
The L.A. Times' Dylan Hernandez is reporting that the Los Angeles Dodgers have never had interest in the bearded closer of two Tommy John surgeries. In fact, the

Report: Dodgers Are Brian Wilson's First Choice in Free Agency
The San Francisco Giants have shown no indication they would like to re-sign former closer and two-time Tommy John surgery victim Brian Wilson to a contract by the Friday deadline. It sounds like Wilson has no intention, either.
Yahoo! Sports' Tim Brown tweeted Wednesday that Wilson's first choice for a new team would be with the Los Angeles Dodgers because of the team's

Report: Brian Wilson Headed For MLB Free Agency
According to the SF Chronicle's Henry Schulman, the Giants and Wilson are not seeing eye-to-eye on the mandatory $6.8 million that would have to come Wilson's way.

Sabean: San Francisco Giants Keeping Hunter Pence, Brian Wilson A 'Wait-and-See'
San Francisco Giants GM Brian Sabean has some decisions to make between now and Opening Day 2013.
With the accolades of a World Series victory also comes the burden of players with newly-acquired World Series rings that want money now. Angel Pagan fits into that category rather nicely this offseason.
However, Hunter Pence is another story as he heads into arbitration with the Giants. The arbitration year could score him nearly $13 million next season, after rather disappointing production since the move to San Francisco.

"Torture" Does Not Fit the San Francisco Giants Anymore

However, as I watched this rare and nerve-racking event unfold before my eyes, I could not help but think for a second.
I expected that to happen.

'The Franchise' Is Entertaining If You Are A San Francisco Giants Fan

Of course, the main attraction to the Showtime series was, and will forever be, Brian Wilson. His outrageous act is impossible not to give at least a wry smile at when seeing him in a spandex tuxedo on national television.
Surprisingly, Wilson was not the main character in Episode 2 this past Wednesday. They did have to sneak in

The Good, the Bad and the Ugly of the San Francisco Giants' First Week of the Season

A 2-4 start has some freaking out and others, like sane people, just calling it a bit of a World Series hangover, which it is.
The Giants have targets on their backs now that they have rings on their fingers (or will have rings on their fingers on Saturday). They will be taking everyone's best shot from here forward.
Call it a slump, a World Series hangover or whatever, but I'm going to call it like it should be called: a roadtrip.

Brian Wilson's Opening Day In Doubt; Is His Beard Okay?

Reports are he felt a little discomfort and was told to stop.
Is this a setback?
Who are you asking?
According to Wilson, no, but then again this is Brian Wilson, and rarely do we see him stress publicly about anything. Especially something as lowly as a strained oblique. It just doesn't fit his lumberjack persona.
Of course the Giants don't feel that way. Jeremy Affeldt was held out of 23 games last summer for a strained oblique.
But Wilson is better than that, right? Fear the Beard?

San Francisco Giants: Brian Wilson To Miss Opening Day

Although Brian Wilson vows to be ready for Opening Day, the reality is an oblique strain is nothing to take lightly, and don't think the Giants don't realize this.
Giants reliever Jeremy Affeldt went throught the exact same thing last summer when he strained is left oblique. Affeldt would be held out of 23 games.
