Harbaugh Brothers Only Texting, Not Calling Each Other Prior to Super Bowl XLVII

Jim and John Harbaugh, head coaches of the 49ers and Ravens who will be facing off in Super Bowl XLVII, are not speaking at all before Feb. 3. They will stick strictly to texting -- nothing more and nothing less.

Jim Harbaugh Is Going To Lose His Mind With the Media Before Super Bowl XLVII

It has been one day since the 49ers defeated the Falcons in the NFC Championship, and already you can hear the angst in Jim Harbaugh's voice with the media. No, he does not want to talk about the Super Bowl matchup with his brother, John. He wants to talk about the players on the field. Good luck, Jim.

Harbaugh: Akers Will Be the 49ers' Kicker in the Super Bowl

David Akers missed a 32-yard field goal with the 49ers down three points to the Falcons in the second half of the NFC Championship, and all hell nearly broke loose.

No, the 49ers cannot bring back free agent kicker Billy Cundiff. Waiver wire pick-ups are over with, and San Francisco literally has no other option at

Harbaugh, 49ers Will Have Hard Time Keeping Assistant Coaches

There is a different side to Black Monday in the NFL, the ceremonial day of coaching staff firings that occur one day after the final week of the season. There are currently seven openings for a head coach around the NFL, and there are successful teams with successful coordinators that are coveted to fill them.

49ers Sign Kicker Cundiff, Keep Struggling Akers

The 49ers were active Tuesday, signing free agent kicker Billy Cundiff and waiving Eric Bakhtiari.

Cundiff came to Santa Clara on Monday for his second workout this season with the 49ers, after Akers went 2 for 4 on field goals in Sunday's win over the Cardinals.

NFC Championship: San Francisco 49ers vs. New York Giants Preview & Prediction

Looking back at the San Francisco 49ers vs. New York Giants Week 9 match-up in mid-November, it did not seem totally out of the question that either team would make the Super Bowl. The Giants were 6-2 and coming off a win against the New England Patriots, and the 49ers were a surprising 7-1, not to mention a play or two away from being 8-0.

San Francisco 49ers: Jim Harbaugh More Than A Coach; Alex Smith More Than A Game-Manager

There was a point in the third quarter of Saturday's epic shoot-out between the New Orleans Saints and San Francisco 49ers that Jim Harbaugh and his team seemed to be satisfied with just crawling into the NFC Championship. It was fitting, seeing as San Francisco has had ugly, gut-checking wins throughout the season

NFL Playoffs: San Francisco 49ers vs. New Orleans Saints Final Injury Report

The San Francisco 49ers released their final injury report on Friday before their clash with the New Orleans Saints today. The report listed five players that were all listed as questionable, leaving it up to the public (and the Saints) who will play and who will sit in the 49ers' first playoff game in nine seasons.
